CHICO, Calif. – The Chico State baseball team responded from Saturday's 11-run loss by scoring nine runs across the middle innings Sunday afternoon to defeat Cal State Dominguez Hills 10–0 at Nettleton Stadium and salvage a split in the CCAA-opening series.
Chico State improves to 13–9 overall and 2–2 in the CCAA. Cal State Dominguez Hills, meanwhile, goes to 10–7 overall and 2–2 in the CCAA.
Wildcat Standouts
Jakob Poole – Tossed 5.0 shutout innings, allowing just two hits without issuing a walk to earn the win.
Keoni Coloma – Went 2-for-3 with a double, triple, two RBIs and three runs scored.
Stefan Foley – Delivered a three-RBI double in the fifth inning to break the game open.
