Wildcats Strike Early, Salvage Series With Shutout of No. 19 Point Loma

CHICO, Calif. – Chico State closed its four-game non-conference baseball series against No. 19 Point Loma in emphatic fashion Saturday morning, rolling to an 11–0 victory at Nettleton Stadium behind an early offensive surge and a dominant pitching performance.

The Wildcats improved to 2–5 on the season, while Point Loma slipped to 4–3.

Wildcat Standouts
Jesse Gadd – Went 3-for-3 with a career-high five RBIs, surpassing his previous best of four set last season at Point Loma.
Jackson Snitko – Finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI, reaching base three times.
Manny Lopez – Earned the win in relief, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings without allowing a hit.

– Chico State struck quickly, scoring three runs in the first inning and six more in the second to seize full control.
– Gadd delivered a two-run single in the first before adding a three-run performance in the second inning.
– The Wildcats added two more runs in the third to extend the lead to double digits.
