Seibert’s Gem Leads Wildcat Effort in Doubleheader with No. 19 Sea Lions

CHICO, Calif. – Chico State dropped both games of Friday's doubleheader against No. 19 Point Loma at Nettleton Stadium, falling a pair of 4–1 results in both games.

The Wildcats moved to 1–5 on the season, while Point Loma improved to 4–2 in non-conference play.

Wildcat Standouts
Andrew Seibert – Turned in a strong start in Game 1, throwing 7.0 scoreless innings while allowing four hits and striking out one before Point Loma broke through late.
Jackson Snitko – Reached base in both games and scored Chico State's lone run in Game 1 after stealing home in the fourth inning.
Keoni Coloma – Delivered a pinch-hit RBI double in Game 2, accounting for Chico State's only run and recording the Wildcats' first run-scoring double of the season.

Game 1 – Point Loma 4, Chico State 1
The opener remained scoreless through three innings before Chico State broke through in the fourth, as Jackson Snitko stole home to give the Wildcats a 1–0 lead.

Point Loma responded with a four-run eighth inning, using a combination of hits, walks, and timely extra-base power to take control. The Sea Lions finished with nine hits in the game, while Chico State collected seven.

Game 2 – Point Loma 4, Chico State 1
Point Loma struck first in the third inning and added two more runs in the fourth, highlighted by a solo home run, to build a three-run cushion.

Chico State cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Keoni Coloma came off the bench and doubled to right-center, driving in Jackson Snitko for the Wildcats' lone run. Point Loma answered with an unearned run in the seventh to seal the win.

By the Numbers
– Chico State totaled 12 hits across the doubleheader.
– Point Loma scored five of its eight runs on extra-base hits.
– Chico State left 16 runners on base in the two games.

Wildcat Tidbits
– Despite the losses, Chico State still leads the all-time series with Point Loma, 8–5.
– Coloma's RBI double in Game 2 marked Chico State's first run-scoring double of the 2026 season.
