CHICO, Calif. – Troy Kent is now a two-time All-West Region selection. The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association unveiled its All-West Region teams, and the Chico State senior outfielder was tabbed second team for the second straight year.
Kent, who was also tabbed first-team All-CCAA for a second time, finished 19
th in the region in batting average (.368). He also ranked third in doubles (19), 10
th in triples (3), 11
th in RBIs (52) and tied for 25
th in home runs (10).
Althought Kent was selected honorable mention in last year's NCBWA All-West Region, he was voted second-team All-West Region by both the American Baseball Coaches Association and the Division II Conference Commissioners Association.
Throughout his two-year career at Chico State, Kent started all 101 games and hit .358 with 36 doubles, three triples, 18 home runs and 101 RBIs.
With the highest strength of schedule in the West Region this season, Chico State finished the 2025 season 31-22 overall and 22-18 in the CCAA, finishing fifth in the conference standings.
