Wildcats Claim Fifth at CCAA Championships

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Chico State men's golf rounds out the 2025 CCAA Championships with a fifth-place finish at Sand Piper GC, finishing with an 889-team score.  
 
All five Wildcats finished the three-day stretch in the top twenty-five positions, nine strokes behind the conference champions. This year's finish is the best team finish for the program since 2022, when the team finished in second place at Yocha Dehe.  
 
CSU East Bay took home the team and individual victory behind Cooper Groshart, who finished with a 215 (-1) carded score. The Pioneers took home the title four strokes ahead of runners-up CSU Monterey Bay. 
 
Travis Miller played out his final CCAA Tournament with a 72 (E), combining for a carded 222 (+6), placing him in an eighth-place finish. The 2025 finish is Miller's best performance at a conference tournament, improving from his 27th-place finish in 2024. 
 
Giuliano Kaminski claimed 12th place finish in his second CCAA Championship tournament and his first since 2023. Carding a 223 (+7) after fifty-four holes, notching his best finish at the conference finale. 
 
In his inaugural conference championships appearance, Giuseppe Aliotti posted a 224 (+8), eighth-place finish.  
 
Naoki Easterday finished his third CCAA Championships with a 23rd-place finish with a final tournament total of 228 (+12). Teammate Cooper Hambrick finished alongside Easterday in the twenty-third with a similar 228 (+12) combined score.
