CHICO, Calif. – Madison Parry scored 20 points and Meadow Aragon recorded a double-double, but Southern Oregon's women's basketball team used a late surge to hand Chico State a 68–57 loss in Tuesday night's non-conference home opener at Acker Gym.
The defeat drops the Wildcats to 1–2 on the season. The Raiders, who reached the quarterfinal round in last year's NAIA Tournament, improved to 4-2.

How it Happened
– Chico State jumped out to an 11-point lead in the first quarter, sparked by Aragon's inside scoring and Parry's early 3-pointer
– Southern Oregon tied it in the second quarter and took its first lead late in the half
– The Raiders used an 11–0 third-quarter run to seize control and never trailed again
– The Wildcats cut it to two with 1:41 left in the third on a Parry 3-pointer but were outscored 22–16 in the fourth
– Chico's final 3-pointer came from Kaylie Edge with 28 seconds remaining
