SEASIDE, Calif. – The Chico State volleyball team started strong but couldn't sustain its early momentum Saturday night, falling to Cal State Monterey Bay 3–1 (25–22, 20–25, 25–22, 25–12) at the Otter Sports Center.
The Wildcats won the second set behind a balanced attack and a .382 hitting percentage but couldn't slow the Otters' offense in the final two frames. With the loss, Chico State moves to 7–12 overall and 3–9 in CCAA play, while Monterey Bay improves to 5–14 overall and 4–8 in conference.
