SEASIDE, Calif. - After a second-place finish at the Wildcat Invite last week, battling 100-degree weather, the Wildcats finished third at the Otter Invitational amidst the fog and colder temperatures of the coast in Seaside.
The looming fog on Monday forced the second round to be completed before the final round on Tuesday morning. The Wildcats finished with a 295-team score following the conclusion of the season round.

Final Round
After 54 holes, the Wildcats claimed another top-three finish to close out the fall, with plenty of positives and insight for the spring.
With a total score of 874 (+10), Chico State carded the second-lowest round of the day as a team with an even-par 288. The hosts boasted the best Tuesday round, using the momentum to leap over the 'Cats into second after a 279 (-9) closing round. Cal State East Bay nabbed their second tournament win in a row after a cumulative team score of 868 (-4) at Bayonet GC.
After closing out Monday tied on the individual leaderboard in a T-6th, Travis Miller and Alexander LemMon solidify top ten finishes as they maintain their 6th place finishes.
Miller carded the best final round of the squad, finishing his final 18 holes of the fall season with three straight birdies to pencil in a final score of 71 (-1) in Seaside. The senior totaled a 216 (E) after three rounds, with eight other golfers placing in 6th, as the course near the coast proves difficult for much of the field.
LemMon claimed his first top ten finish of the season with a 216 (E) tournament score, battling against the unpredictable weather in Seaside to finish alongside his teammate in 6th.
A consistent final round from Naoki Easterday claimed him 20th on the leader board, with a 72 (E) after the closing eighteen holes. Easterday rounded out the Otter Invite with a 220 (+4), helping keep his team in the fight for the top three spots.
Ben Mouser carded a 228 (+12) at Bayonet, with teammate Giuliano Kaminski closing out the fall with a 229 (+13) behind a solid final round of 72 (E) in the final round.
Competing as the sole individual for the Wildcats, Ethan Allred finished the 54th hole with a 241 (+25) cumulative score.
The Chico State men's golf team will pick up their season in the spring, opening up with the Fujikura Invitational in February.
