CHICO, Calif. - Standout senior Naoki Easterday has earned this week's FloCollege/CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week award following an outstanding tournament in Arizona.
Easterday shot a 12-under 204 to tie for first place at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic. His efforts helped Chico State win the tournament by 11 strokes with a team score of 825 (-39).
The senior Easterday led the way with rounds of 66 (-6), 70 (-2), and 68 (-4) for his second win of the season. Entering the final hole of his final round, Easterday needed a birdie to force a playoff with Liam Allan of Colorado School of Mines and converted a 3-foot putt to send it to playoff holes, ultimately falling just short after reaching the third hole in the playoff.
Easterday led the Palm Valley Classic in par-3 scoring (-2) and also had the second-most birdies in the tournament (18). Click here to see the results from the tournament.
This is Easterday's second CCAA Golfer of the Week award in 2025-26, and the fifth of his career. He also won during the same week last year, as he also shot a 204 (-12) in last year's RJGA Palm Valley Classic. Click here to see a complete list of past weekly award winners.
Chico State will be at the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational in Turlock this week. The two-day tournament will start on Monday, April 13.
