Wildcat men’s track & field in full swing at Kim Duyst Invitational

Chico State sending 37 strong to Turlock to compete Friday and Saturday at Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium

The many weeks of training put in by the Chico State men's track & field team is about to pay off with exciting "this time it counts" competition. The Wildcats, led by head coach Oliver Hanf, takes part in their first full meet of the 2023 season Friday and Saturday as part of the Stanislaus State-hosted Kim Duyst Invitational. No less than 37 members of the 'Cats' men's team will be competing at Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium.

Twelve of the 37 Wildcats competing in this weekend's Kim Duyst Invtiational will be making their first official Chico State track & field appearance.
 
The Wildcat throwers get things underway Friday, with a full complement of events scheduled for Saturday. Adrian Barrios, Cody Hartsfield, Will Novascone, and Bryant Williams will lead things off Friday morning competing in the discus, followed by the hammer throw and the shot put.
 
Saturday Chico State will compete throughout the afternoon in 12 different events. The Chico State men's track & field team will conclude the Kim Duyst Invitational Saturday at 6:30 p.m. by taking part in the 4x400-meter relay.
