Chico State men's golf coach Nick Green has assembled a team full of guys who love to play golf. That's good news because it's led to a lot of improved play over the past year. It's also good news, because the Wildcats are going to be playing a lot of golf in a short amount of time this fall as they open their 2022-23 campaign.
 
Chico State kicks off the fall at the Western Washington University Invitational on Sept. 26, and will compete in four events during the month of October. During that run, they'll host the Wildcat Classic at the Peach Tree Golf and Country Club in Marysville Oct. 10-11. It all adds up to five events in the span of 34 days, culminating in two Hawaii tournaments in a five-day span.
 
The Wildcats, who earned an NCAA Championships berth for the 21st time in the past 22 tries last spring, will begin the spring of 2023 at the Fujikura Invitational in Vista, on Feb. 13-14. Following three more events, including the D2 Prestige at PGA West in La Quinta, they'll open the postseason at the CCAA Championships April 17-19 at the Victoria Club in Riverside.
