The California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) soccer schedule is like Miles Rice's golazo Sunday against Cal State LA—blink and you'll miss it. This week the Chico State men's soccer team will eclipse the halfway point of its conference slate following a clash with Cal State State East Bay Thursday at 4:30 at University Soccer Stadium and Sunday's 11:30 a.m. showdown with Stanislaus State.
The Wildcats, 4-3-4 overall and 1-1-2 in the CCAA, are tied for sixth in the conference table. With sixth postseason berths up for grabs, they hope to start climbing up the standings beginning this week. That task will be challenging as ten of the league's 12 teams boast a record of .500 or better.
That includes both of this week's opponents. Cal State East Bay is 4-4-3 overall and 2-1-1 in the CCAA while Stanislaus State is 4-3-4 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play.
Both matches will be broadcast on the CCAA Network and live stats are also available. Links can be found at
