Eight different Wildcats qualified this year, up one from 2016

An astounding eight Chico State distance alumni qualified for tomorrow's U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in Atlanta: Anthony Costales, Alia Gray, Katie Lee-Layman, Steven Martinez, Amy Schnittger, Julie Shaw-Woodruff, Nicholas Spector, and Lindsay (Nelson) Tollefson.

Seven Wildcats competed in the 2016 trials, including Tollefson, Costales, and Gray (who has decided to concentrate on track events in the near future and will not be running Saturday).

The race will be broadcast live on NBC across the country from 9 a.m. to noon. The men's race is scheduled to begin at 9:08 and the women's race at 9:20.
