The 2025 CCAA Cross Country Championships return to Hooker Oak Recreation Area at Bidwell Park in Chico for the third time since the event was held there in 2003. Chico State also served as the host on the very same site in 2013.
Join us as the Chico State men's and women's cross country teams will be defending their respective conference championships on their home course. The Wildcat men will be seeking their unprecedented 23rd conference championship while the women's team will pursue a three-peat and their 15th championship in their last 17 years.

| ABOUT HOOKER OAK RECREATIONAL AREA AT BIDWELL PARK |
Located 3.5 miles from Chico State and north of the City of Chico, Hooker Oak Recreational Area is nestled on the southeast corner of Upper Bidwell Park. The 35-acre community park, owned by the City of Chico and operated by CARD, is steeped in history, once being the site of the iconic large Hooker Oak tree, featured in the 1930s movie 'Robin Hood.'

| GETTING TO HOOKER OAK PARK FROM HIGHWAY 99 |
When on Highway 99, coming from either direction, take the
Deer Creek Highway (Highway 32) exit and head east. Turn left (north) on
Bruce Road and follow it for about two miles before it turns into
Manzanita Avenue. Hooker Oak Park will be on the right just before the roundabout near
Vallombrosa Avenue.

The 2025 CCAA Cross Country Championship course at Hooker Oak Park in Chico features a scenic mix of grass and dirt trails winding through open parkland and shaded creekside paths. Runners start at the Rex Murphy Softball Field (middle) and end the course by going around Doryland Baseball Field (far side) and crossing the finish line between the two diamonds. Following a counterclockwise
main loop (red) that passes key mile markers at 1, 2, 3, and 4 before returning near the start area. The
finish loop (yellow) branches off the main trail for the final stretch around the field and into the chute. The
6k course consists of three red loops plus the yellow finish loop, while the
8k course includes four red loops before finishing on the same yellow loop.

Parking for the 2025 CCAA Championships at Hooker Oak Park is free, but on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional parking includes the Veterans Memorial Park across the street from Wildwood Avenue. Parking is at your own risk, Chico State Athletics is not responsible for citations or theft.
