25th-ranked men’s golf team back in action after long layoff

After going more than a month without playing a competitive event, the Chico State men's golf team is hoping to walk away from this week's Battle at Eagle Glen with a big win and grab important momentum as the Wildcats head into the stretch run of the season.

The Wildcats, ranked No. 25 in the Golfweek Coaches' Poll and No. 28 by Golfstat, have just three tournaments remaining before the postseason begins. That stretch starts with 36 holes on Monday and 18 more Tuesday at Eagle Glen Golf Club.

The first two rounds of the par-72 track in Corona will play at 6,885 yards and the third round at 6,615.

The Wildcats one of seven top-40 teams in the field of 19, joining Cal State Monterey Bay (#6 Golfstat/#7 Golfweek), California Baptist (#11 Golfweek/#15 Golfstat), BYU-Hawaii (#16 Golfstat), Western Washington (#32 Golfstat), California Lutheran (#37 Golfstat, NCAA DIII), and Biola (#40 Golfstat, NAIA).

Kelley Sullivan, Colby Dean, Jordan Oliver, TJ Kathrineberg, and Cole Chavez will represent the Wildcats, while Chris Colla will play as an individual.
