It's been a fantastic fall so far for the Chico State men's golf program. This Monday and Tuesday, the Wildcats hope to wrap up the fall portion of their 2016-17 schedule with another strong showing at the Cal State Monterey Bay Otter Fall Invitational at Bayonet.
 
The sixth-ranked Wildcats have two wins and a runner-up finish so far on their resume. But the competition in Seaside will be the strongest they've faced thus far. No. 4 Lynn University and No. 5 Nova Southeastern, both from Florida, will join Chico State, California Baptist and Cal State Monterey Bay to give the field five of the nation's top-13 ranked teams.
 
The Wildcats are the defending champions at the event, having won in 2015 by three strokes over Nova Southeastern. Colby Dean finished third at 5-under par and Serge Kiriluk, competing as an individual, tied for 25th with a score of 4-over par. They are the only Chico State athletes who competed in Seaside last season still on the roster.
 
Head Coach Nick Green will travel a lineup of Kelley Sullivan, Cole Chavez, TJ Kathrineberg, Kiriluk, and Dean. Chris Colla will also be competing as an individual.
