The Chico State men's golf team is going to Carolina. In their minds, the Wildcats are hoping to get back for the NCAA Championships this spring.
 
The Wildcats are one of 21 teams competing at the 2014 Rock Barn Collegiate Invitational, which is also serving as the Division II Championship Preview, at Rock Barn Golf & Spa in Conover, N.C., Monday and Tuesday. The NCAA Championships will be held at Rock Barn May 18-22.
 
The two-round tournament begins with a 5:30 a.m., Pacific time, shotgun start Monday and concludes with 18 more rounds beginning with a 5:30 a.m. shotgun start Tuesday.
 
The same five Wildcats representing the fourth-ranked Wildcats in their fourth-place finish at last week's Otter Invitational will take the course for Head Coach T.L. Brown tomorrow – Alistair Docherty, Justin Wiles, Lee Gearhart, Ryan Roodzant and Zachary Sardina.
