Chico State forward/center Malik Duffy matched his career high with 17 points Thursday night against 13th-ranked UC San Diego. Saturday, the sophomore from Sacramento blew it out of the water, scoring 26 to lead the Wildcats to win that snapped a four-game losing skid.

Duffy averaged 21.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 64 percent from the field (14-22) and from 3-point range (9-14).

In Saturday's win, Duffy drained 8-of-12 shots, including 6-of-7 threes, as the Wildcats tied the school record with 18 made threes as a team. He also pulled down a game-high seven rebounds, dished out three assists, and grabbed a steal.

Thursday night, Duffy hit 6-of-10 shots, including 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. He also pulled down four rebounds.

Duffy currently ranks third in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in made threes per game (2.3) and fifth in 3-point shooting percentage (.407). He's a sharp-shooter all over the court, knocking down 52 percent of his shots inside the arc, and 94 percent of his free throw attempts this season.

Duffy also ranks 10th in the CCAA in rebounds per game (6.1) and leads the Wildcats in scoring at 11.2 points per game.
