Alli Cook has absolutely nothing to prove. The Simi Valley native needed just three seasons to become the all-time run scorer and base stealer in Chico State softball history. Now in her senior year, Cook continues to add to those record-setting numbers while helping the Wildcats get off to a solid start to the 2016 season. Her talents on the softball diamond were on full display in San Diego, with her key contributions resulting in the 'Cats taking three of four on the road against No. 17 UC San Diego. Cook's outstanding play over the four-game series makes her the latest Wildcat of the Week.

Cook batted .467 (7-for-15) in the series and posted a .500 on-base percentage. She scored three runs and was a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts as the Wildcats completed a near sweep of the host Tritons.

Cook singled, scored a run and stole a base in Friday's doubleheader opener, then collected two hits and two steals in the nightcap in the 'Cats' 4-1 and 2-1 victories.
In the first game of Saturday's twin bill, Cook singled twice, reached base three times, scored twice and swiped a bag as the Wildcats shut out UC San Diego 3-0. She wrapped up her productive series with a 2-for-4 performance in the nightcap.

Cook is batting .315 on the season and ranks fourth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) with nine stolen bases in as many attempts. She now has 78 stolen bases and scored 112 runs in her Chico State career.

Cook and the Wildcats are home this weekend for a CCAA showdown with Cal State San Marcos. The four-game set begins with doubleheader action Friday at 12 p.m., followed by a Saturday double dip beginning at 11 a.m.
