The Chico State women's basketball team has won two straight and three of its last four games, and it's no coincidence that the recent reversal of fortunes has coincided with the inspired play from the Wildcat reserves. Haley Cremen was instrumental in the team's victories over Cal State San Marcos and Simpson University, delivering some key minutes off the bench in what were arguably her two best games in a Chico State uniform. The sophomore forward's big contributions make Cremen the latest Wildcat of the week.

Cremen played 38 minutes over the Wildcats' two contests, scoring 17 points and shooting 80 percent (8-of-10) from the field. She also pulled down nine rebounds, handed out two assists and grabbed two steals as Chico State improved to 8-9 on the season.

In 22 minutes Thursday against Cal State San Marcos, Cremen scored a career-high nine points and matched her personal best with six rebounds as the Wildcats downed the Cougars 65-59. She followed up with an eight point performance Saturday in the 'Cats' 78-62 win over Simpson, hitting all four of her field goal attempts while also contributing three rebounds, two assists and a steal.

Cremen is averaging 2.8 points and 2.1 rebounds a game with a 44.1 shooting percentage on the season.

Cremen and the Wildcats return to California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play Saturday, hosting Stanislaus State at Acker Gym.
