I am so grateful for them! Their love and their demeanor inspires me to work towards my goals with positivity and dedication, but also to be a better person”)
- The person she most admires in the sports world is former USC volleyball player Victoria Garrick (“Vic's work to help bring attention to and advocate for athlete mental health and body image is INCREDIBLE. Her podcast is inspiring and her story helps to motivate and encourage athletes who might be struggling with their mental health or body image, and brings light to so many resources and modes for help. I absolutely love her content and her presence in my feed”)
- Favorite courses at Chico State: Human Anatomy, taught by Gary Lechner, and Exercise Physiology: Metabolism, taught by Dr. Ryan Perkins…Chose to attend Chico State “for the beautiful campus, the athletic opportunities, the family-like atmosphere of the athletic program, and for the wide variety of academic opportunities”
- Her greatest sports moment is serving for 13 points in the fifth set in the Wildcats’ November 1, 2019 victory over Humboldt State
- The most interesting thing she’s ever done is take on a cadaver dissection internship at Chico State during the COVID pandemic (“We prepared and dissected a new body in the cadaver lab for the upcoming anatomy students. It was the coolest experience and I learned so much, but it was also something that was way out of my comfort zone. So grateful for that experience”)
- The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is “work on my mental health, take care of my body, play the sport I love, and be a college student all at the same time”
- Has learned by playing volleyball “what grit and resilience mean. I’ve also learned the importance of being a good teammate and how to play for something more than yourself”
- Enjoys drinking tea and coffee, being in nature, crocheting, painting, cooking, baking, being with her dog, and spending time with family and friends
