Named to 2020 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll…Pre-Chico Days: Played two seasons at Folsom Lake College in Folsom…A 2018 graduate of Chico High School…Earned four varsity letters…Helped lead the Panthers to the 2016 CIF North Section Division I championship and a share of the 2018 Eastern Athletic League title…Earned First Team All-EAL honors as a senior…Personal: Born May 25, 2000, in Chico…Daughter of Jeff and Kym…Has one older sibling, Britny…The person she most admires in the sports world is Abby Wambach (“because of the way she carries herself and leads her teammates. While she has made mistakes and has personal struggles like anyone, she puts them aside to lift others up and gets down to business when it’s game time”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Journalism 260, taught by Mandy Feder-Sawyer…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “I love the atmosphere of the campus and team as well as the sense of community that comes with the program”…Her greatest sports moment was posting a shutout in her final match for Folsom Lake College (“I overcame my nerves and insecurities that I had carried with me throughout the season. I played with confidence and that’s how I held the shutout. I will always be proud of the way I left FLC”)…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is travel to Barcelona with the Folsom Lake College soccer team, explore the city and play against Barcelona teams…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is standing up to her intense phobia of snakes by forcing herself to hold on in the sixth grade…Has learned by playing soccer to “take accountability for your actions. Without self assessment, you will never achieve your goals. Your fate is completely up to you”…Enjoys creative writing and making stained glass when she has some free time…At the top of her bucket list: Paragliding…Best advice ever received came from a teammate: “Other people’s opinions are none of your business”…Majoring in journalism…Plans to write several novels, write for magazines, pursue photography as well as poetry, and possibly write for a paper.
