Amanda Raso joined the Chico State women's soccer program in the spring of 2025, following an extensive coaching resume at the NCAA DII level and playing career in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC).
Amanda Raso joined the MSU Denver women's soccer staff as an assistant coach in January 2024, bringing a strong background in collegiate coaching and playing experience across multiple levels of the game. She led the Roadrunner's to a 10-4-7 record in her first season at the helm, guiding the team to their first NCAA regional appearance in a decade.
Raso arrived at MSU Denver after serving four seasons as the head coach at fellow Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) competitor Western Colorado. During her tenure with the Mountaineers, she guided the program through a period of growth, achieving several milestones and posting an overall record of 16-40-6. Her squads narrowly missed qualifying for the RMAC Tournament in each of the last two seasons, finishing just outside the cutoff in ninth place both years.
Before taking the helm at Western Colorado, Raso spent two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of North Dakota, where she helped lead the Fighting Hawks to their most successful campaign in their NCAA Division I era.
Raso began her collegiate coaching career at her alma mater, Fort Lewis College, where she was an assistant coach from 2015 to 2017. There, she oversaw the development of the Skyhawks’ goalkeepers. Her coaching journey also includes a stint as a graduate assistant at Midwestern State University (Texas) in 2014.
As a player, Raso was a standout goalkeeper at Fort Lewis from 2010 to 2013. She compiled a career record of 26-7-6 with 11 shutouts, a 0.97 goals-against average, and a .764 save percentage. She ranks third in program history in career wins and was part of teams that went a combined 62-16-9, including a run to the NCAA Division II national quarterfinals in 2010 and a No. 2 national ranking during the 2012 season.
Holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Fort Lewis College (2014) and a Master's degree in Sport Psychology from Lock Haven University (2016). Currently holds a USSF C License and is actively pursuing a USSF B License. Additional coaching credentials include the United Soccer Coaches National Diploma, Goalkeeper Level I & II Diplomas, as well as certifications in various special topics.
