Redshirted last season…Pre-Chico Days: A 2019 graduate of Vacaville High School…Helped lead the Bulldogs to a pair of Monticello Empire League championships…Named First Team All-MEL and the league’s Offensive MVP…Second Team All-MEL selection as a junior…Began her prep career at Buckingham Charter School in Vacaville…Led the Knights to two Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League crowns and a trip to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division VII championship final…Received league MVP honors in 2017…First Team All-SMAL and league Offensive Player of the Year as a freshman…Personal: Born April 6, 2001, in Vallejo…Daughter of Ed and Gail…Has two older siblings, Briana and Brendon…The person she most admires in the sports world is movie boxer Rocky Balboa (“Growing up my dad would always have one of the Rocky movies on. Seeing his determination and how Rocky always pushed ’til the end of every fight has shown me how hard I can push myself and persevere through tough times”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Communications, taught by Jessica Eggen…Chose to attend Chico State “because of the people. I love my team and I am so grateful that my hometown is close so that my parents can still be on the sidelines supporting me and watching the game my whole family loves. I chose Chico because soccer and Coach Sutton chose me”…Her greatest sports moment is “just being able to play on the field with my best friends”…The most interesting thing she’s ever done is travel to Paraguay with Girls Soccer Worldwide Foundation, “where we empowered the young girls there and showed them the importance of education and self worth. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life”…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is being a first generation college student as well as a collegiate athlete…Has learned by playing soccer to “overcome adversity. It is more than a game now and I have realized how much passion I have for the sport and how much hard work it takes to be successful”…Enjoys tubing, wakeboarding, and being out on the lake when she has some free time…Loves cooking, especially with her dad…Can play the piano…At the top of her bucket list: “Definitely to visit the Bahamas!”…Best advice ever received came from the TV show Make It Or Break It: “Look past the fear, because behind it you will find your courage”…Majoring in public health…Plans to become a nurse in the dermatology field or work with special needs children.
