One of 15 true freshmen for the ’Cats in 2020–21…Pre-Chico Days: A 2020 graduate of Foothill High School in Pleasanton…Earned three varsity letters…Received All-East Bay Athletic League Honorable Mention and served as Falcons’ team captain as a senior…Also lettered in lacrosse, twice earning All-EBAL honors Personal: Born October 22, 2002, in Pleasanton…Daughter of Matthew and Donna…Has one older sister, Jacqueline…The person she most admires in the sports world is 49ers offensive assistant coach Katie Sowers (“She is on the right path to living her dream as an NFL head coach while serving as a trailblazing inspiration to all women”)…Why she chose to attend Chico State: “I felt like I belonged here. Chico is exactly what I wanted in that it is a college town, it has a beautiful campus, the people are so inviting, and there are so many hiking trails around. When I was offered a spot on the soccer team, it was like a dream come true!”…Her greatest sports moment was making it to the Section Regionals during her 2018 high school year…The most interesting thing she’s ever done: “I spent two weeks in Europe with my soccer team and we were undefeated against several French and English teams. We also got the watch part of the World Cup”…The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is receiving a unanimous vote for the First Team All-EBAL award for lacrosse …Has learned by playing soccer that “mistakes don’t matter, what matters is what you do after the mistake”…Enjoys spending time with friends and playing spikeball when she has some free time…Can play the piano…Loves camping and climbed Half Dome in Yosemite when she was 11…At the top of her bucket list: “Either going to Japan or Cappadocia, Turkey”…Best advice ever received came from her high school lacrosse coach Angelyn Brown: “Always expect myself to give 100 percent”…Majoring in psychology…Plans on furthering her education by attending graduate school after graduating from Chico State.
