- Her mom is her hero (“She taught so many life lessons that I can carry with me forever. And though she is not with me anymore, I am grateful to her for shaping me into the strong and confident woman I am today”)
- The personal she most admires in the sports world is former South Carolina star and current WNBA point guard Destanni Henderson (“During her time at South Carolina she didn't get to start or get a lot of playing time during her freshmen and sophomore year. Instead of quitting, she chose to trust the process. Earlier this year, she led the Gamecocks to the 2022 NCAA championship. Her confidence was truly inspirational”)
- Why she chose to attend Chico State: “When I came on my visit, I could picture myself thriving here. The resources, environment, and culture are amazing, but what really sealed the deal for me was the team. From the moment I met them, I felt okay being myself”…Her greatest sports moment: “Being able to experience winning not only the CCAA Championship, but also being selected MVP of the tournament. The following week, we were also able to host Regionals at our home court which was something I’ve never experienced”
- The most interesting thing she’s ever done is tackle the lead role in a play called Check Please (“It is what has sparked my interest in one day becoming an actress, director, and script writer”)
- The most impressive thing she’s ever accomplished is performing “The Cup Song” in front of a large crowd during her sixth grade talent show
- Has learned by playing basketball that “showing up is half the battle, and with consistency anything you want in life is achievable”
- Enjoys journaling when she has some free time (“I enjoy talking about my life when journaling, but I also like writing stories and creating fictional characters who sometimes have interactions with each other”)
- Says her biggest non-sports talents is being able to tell what’s going to happen next in a movie or show
- Her favorite female artist is rapper and singer Coi Leray (“Her music inspires me to embrace being different. She can change my mood from sad to happy in 0.2 seconds”)
- At the top of her bucket list: “Be the Defensive Player of the Year”
- Best advice ever received came from an old coach: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure”
