Due to the cancellation of the track & field season, was not able to compete for the Wildcats in 2020.
Pre-Chico Days
A 2019 graduate of John H. Pitman High School in Turlock…Competed in 100m, 200m, and 400m dash, high jump, long jump, triple jump, and 4x100m, 4x200m, and 4x400m relay over his four varsity seasons…Named The Pride’s Field MVP as a senior…Earned school’s Athlete of the Year honors in 2018…Won the 2018 Central California Conference 200m dash title with a school record time of 22.18 seconds…Part of the school record 4x100m relay team (school record 42.38 seconds) that took top honors at the CCC Championships…Finished first as part of the 4x400m relay at the Stanislaus County Meet with a school record time of 3:25.21…Also lettered in basketball.
Personal
Born June 1, 2001, in Chico…Son of Gy and Tami…Has one older sister, Carlee…The person he most admires in the sports world is track & field jumper Christian Taylor (“He’s a great athlete and dominant in the triple jump event”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Recreation Therapy and Inclusion, taught by Cassandra Faith…Chose to attend Chico State “because of its atmosphere and the track & field program”…His greatest sports moment is breaking his high school’s 4x100m and 4x400m records, in the same meet with the same team in the same positions…Has learned dedication and time management by competing in track & field…Enjoys camping and “road trips to the middle of nowhere” when he has some free time…Is a river guide…At the top of his bucket list: “Complete the Pacific Crest Trail”…Best advice ever received: “Your attitude can affect your physical athletic ability”…Majoring in recreation, hospitality, and parks management…Plans on joining the Marine Corps as an officer, retire on the beach, and “travel the lands.”
