2010-2011: Redshirted both sports as a true freshman…Finished 16th at the Davis Doc Adams Invitational with a PR of 25:12…Recorded a 25:20 run in the Gold race at the Willamette Invitational…Ran a 15:29 5K race at the Chico time trials…On the track, Recorded an 8:58 3K at the Aggie Invitational…Ran a 15:30 5K in the Kim Duyst Invitational…injuries prevented McGuan from competing for the rest of the season.

High School: Ran for the Cowboys at Canyon HS in Canyon Country…Finished 18th (15:37) at the California High School State D-II Meet…Preceded that with a sixth place finish at the CIF-Southern Section D-II finals at Mt. SAC in a time of 15:19, earning first team All-CIF honors…Track best of 9:38 for 3,200 meters.
