2019–20
Made his Chico State cross country debut with a 58th place finish September 13, 2019 at the Stump Invitational…Posted a season-best 8k time of 26:52 on the way to a 115th place finish September 28, 2019 at the Capital Cross Challenge…Placed 108th October 12, 2019 at the Western Washington Classic, turning in a 10k time of 35:09.7…Finished 81st November 17 at the PAUSATF Cross Country Championships, completing the 9.75k layout in 36:09…Did not compete in the abbreviated 2020 track & field season.
 
Pre-Chico Days
Competing at Chabot College in Castro Valley, won the 2019 NorCal championship in the 3k Steeple…Placed third at the State Championships with a 9:30 PR—the fourth-fastest time in Chabot College history…Four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track at Castro Valley High School.
 
Personal
Born July 20, 1998, in Castro Valley…Son of Rob and Kristen…Has two siblings, Amber and Paige…The person he most admires in the sports world is British distance runner Sir Mo Farah (“because of his dedication to the sport and how much of a positive influence he is to it. He also has shown an incredible range during his career from the 1,500m to the marathon”)…Why he chose to attend Chico State: “For the ability to train with very talented people and to be a part of the culture of runners up here on the team”…His greatest sports moment was finishing in third place in the steeplechase at the CCCAA State Championships…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is traveling to Japan for two weeks and climbing Mt. Fuji…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is staying in school…Has learned by running cross country that “habits are really important and they define who you are”…Enjoys gaming when he has some free time…Says one of his biggest talents is playing ultimate Frisbee…Can play the trumpet…At the top of his bucket list: “Become a professional driver for drifting or F1 racing”…Best advice ever received came an office wall quote belonging to his JC coach Kyle Robinson: “You are what you repeatedly do, excellence then, is not an act but a habit”…Majoring in psychology.
