Competed in one event at the March 6–7 Kim Duyst Invitational prior to the cancellation of the 2020 track & field season…Placed seventh in the pole vault with a height of 4.10m.
 
Pre-Chico Days
A 2019 graduate of Bear River High School in Grass Valley…Took top honors in the pole vault at the 2019 Sac-Joaquin Section Division V Finals…Competed in 100m and 200m dash, shot put, high jump, long jump, and 4x200m relay over three varsity seasons…Also lettered in cross country and lacrosse.
 
Personal
Born June 8, 2001, in Roseville…Son of Arturo and Christine…Has four siblings: Aurora, Kailie, Sydnee, and Alex…The person he most admires in the sports world is pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis (“because he is a prodigy who breaks world records”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Introduction to Dance, taught by Jolene Barry…Chose to attend Chico State “because I could do track & field, and I had heard a lot of good things about the school”…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is beekeeping…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is place third in his 4th grade spelling bee…Has learned “mind over matter” by competing in track & field…Enjoys playing games and being outdoors when he has some free time…Says he has a talent for arts and crafts…At the top of his bucket list: “Skydiving”…Best advice ever received came from his dad: “The answer is always ‘no’ if you never ask”…Majoring in exercise physiology.
