- Father is John Mullen
- Mother is Anna Bretan
- Has one brother, Preston and three sisters, Tatum, Tabitha and Tilden
- Admires his great grandfather because "He came from nothing, an orphan in the great depression and ended up a pronounced doctor and veterinarian, something I believe to be incredibly admirable. He set my family up to be where it is at and I want to continue his legacy."
- Admires the hard-working athletes they put into their sport. "Their is a level of dedication, through hurdles and bumps that makes athletes as strong and motivated as they are and I find this very admirable."
- Chose Chico State because it "has the environment I was looking for, a beautiful campus and place I can enjoy while also having a very supportive cross country season that I can put hard work into and contribute to."
- When asked about his greatest sports moment so far, he says "watching my hard work pay off in the last mile of my state cross country race, passing twenty people and running faster than I had ever run for the distance."
- The most impressive thing he has ever accomplished outside of sports is "honestly just having made it where I am now. I was a main caretaker of my siblings through high school and between that, training as hard as I could for running and my school studies I had a lot on my plate. I am so grateful to be continuing school and especially with the additions to it I have managed."
- Outside of his sport, his best talent is jazz. "I have managed to make it quite far, playing jazz at gigs such as weddings, restaurants and even stages."
- Plays the tenor and bari saxophone as well as the piano
- In his spare time, he likes to listen and play music, cook, clean and hanging out with his friends
- On his bucket list is learning how to make the perfect piece of salmon
- An interesting thing about him is "I'm the oldest sibling of five."
- Majoring in Biology with aspirations to get into medical school
