2020
Competed in two events in the March 6–7 Kim Duyst Invitational before the cancellation of the 2020 track & field season…Finished third in the 200m dash (22.33 seconds) and fifth as part of the Wildcats’ 4x100m relay team (56.42 seconds).
2019
Earned USTFCCCA All-West Region honors in the 100m dash as a true freshman…Appeared in four meets before 2019 season was cut short by injuries…In his Wildcats debut, notched a second place finish and a personal best time of 21.97 seconds in the 200m dash at the March 1, 2019 Kim Duyst Invitational…Part of winning 4x400m relay team (3:22.19) at the March 9, 2019 Chico State Invitational…Posted PR 100m dash time of 10.55 seconds March 30, 2019 at the Stanford Invitational.
Pre-Chico Days
A 2018 graduate of American Canyon High School…Three-time Solano County Athletic Conference champion in the 100m dash…Twice took top SCAC honors in the 200m dash…Finished first in the 100m dash at the 2018 Sac-Joaquin Section Division II finals…Also competed in the 400m dash and the 4x100m and 4x400m relay.
Personal
Born November 3, 1999, in Vallejo…Son of Sergio and Xioendia…Has two younger siblings, Ojani and Sergio…The person he most admires in the sports world is Usain Bolt (“I always thought and still think that I will race him one day”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Screenwriting 1, and his favorite instructor is Vernon Andrews…Why he chose to attend Chico State: “As soon as I visited Chico for the first time, I knew it was the school I wanted to end up going to. Seeing Coach Hanf and the possible people I could be running with really made me excited and made me want to go to Chico even more”…His greatest sports moment is breaking his record in the 100 meters as a member of the Wildcats…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is ride on a camel’s back…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished learn to kickflip…Has learned by competing in track & field “that patience is a virtue”…Enjoys reading Scott Pilgrim and playing Playstation when he has some free time…One of his biggest talents outside of sports is creating movies…His favorite actor is Adam Sandler…At the top of his bucket list: “Owning a big house”…Best advice ever received: “Sometimes the best way to move forward is to take a left turn”…Majoring in media arts…Hopes to establish a career as a director or screenwriter at Disney or A12 Films.
