Pre-Chico Days
A 2020 graduate of Yuba City High School…Competed in the 200m, 300m, and 400m dash, high jump, and 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m, and 4x800m over three varsity seasons…Earned All-Capital Valley Conference honors as the league’s top 400m runner…In 2018, took top honors in the 400m at both the Tri-County Conference Championships and the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division III Finals…Also lettered in soccer.
Personal
Born November 8, 2002, in Carmichael…Son of Lawrence and Jolanda…The person he most admires in the sports world is Tom Brady (“He is the GOAT of all sports”)…Why he chose to attend Chico State: “It is close to my hometown”…His greatest sports moment is, during his junior year of high school, running the anchor leg in 4x400m relay at the Section meet, and lifting his team from seventh place when he received the baton to a third place finish…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is go to Alaska in the summer with his dad…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished: “Graduating school and continuing learning”…Has learned by competing in track & field that “you can rely on yourself to get almost all of your needs completed, but having a team makes it better”…Enjoys fishing, working out, and playing games when he has some free time…Says “I’m a raw fisherman”…At the top of his bucket list: “Catch a 10-pound bass”…Best advice ever received came an old high school coach: “I am the captain of my ship, and the ship is my life ahead of me”…Majoring in criminal justice…Plans to join the Air Force after graduating.
