Personal
Born November 8, 2000, in Monterey…Son of Michael and Shelley…Has three siblings: Austin, Grace, and Catelyn…The person he most admires in the sports world is Tony Hawk (“Dude's like 52 and still busting out 720’s at the skate park like nothing. If that doesn’t give you hope, I don’t know what will”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Work, Wealth, and Income Distribution, taught by Greg Jones…Why he chose to attend Chico State: “I visited on Halloween and it was suggested by the coach that I visit in a costume and from there I was sold. It also had a nice small town feel, but was also big enough as to not feel cramped. I heard nothing but good things about the programs I planned on pursuing, and the professors/people were all super cool and friendly”…His greatest sports came as a senior in high school, when his 4x100m relay team posted a time of 41.78 seconds, placing it in the top 10 4x1 teams in California…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is whitewater rafting the Colorado River and zip lining over and around it in the same day…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is run in the 100/200 in summer of 2017 at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in Lawrence, Kansas…Has learned by competing in track & field that “results don’t come overnight”…Enjoys skateboarding and longboarding, playing the drums, playing video games, shooting hoops, going on hikes and day trips, and spending time with friends…One of his biggest talents is “arriving early to concerts so I can be in the very front”…Started drumming when his parents bought the family Beatles Rockband for Christmas…At the top of his bucket list: “Either doing that race where people tumble down a hill trying to catch a cheese wheel, or the one where they run away from bulls. Oh, and paragliding would be sick”…Best advice ever received came from a doctor: “You can sell your body or you can sell your mind” (“He meant that you could succumb to manual labor that any one person can do and work until your body gives out, or you can sharpen your mind with knowledge, separate yourself with the skills you attain, and be productive for years after your body grows weary”)…Majoring in business administration…Plans on pursuing a career as a certified public accountant.
