Pre-Chico Days
A 2020 graduate of Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento…Three-time All-Capital Athletic League selection…Won three straight league long jump titles…Holds school record in the long jump…Finished the 2019 season ranked second in Sac-Joaquin Section Division III and seventh in SJS Masters competition…Competed in 100m, 200m, and 400m dash, long jump, high jump, 4x100m and 4x200 meter relay…Two-year team captain…Also lettered in basketball.
 
Personal
Born June 7, 2002, in Woodland…Son of Keith and Denise…Has two older brothers, Bradley and Bryan…His brother Bradley is his hero (“because of how hard he works, and he’s always been someone I look up to”)…Chose to attend Chico State “because it’s somewhat close to home but not too close, and because of its track program”…His greatest sports moment is going to Masters his junior year of high school and placing seventh in his section in the long jump…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is go hiking in Europe…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is dunk a basketball (“even though I’m 5-foot-7”)…Has learned by competing in track & field that “the harder you work on something, the more other people admire you”…Enjoys playing video games with his brothers and spending time with friends…Says his time management between sports, school, and social life is his biggest non-sport talent…Learned to play the violin as a high school senior…Is a big Harry Potter fan…At the top of his bucket list: “Going to the Olympics”…Best advice ever received came from his parents: “Never quit in what you do”…Majoring in computer science…Plans to continuing his track career after graduating or getting a job in civil engineering.
