Due to the cancellation of the track & field season, was not able to compete for the Wildcats in 2020.
 
Pre-Chico Days
A 2019 graduate of Santa Teresa High School in San Jose…Competed in the shot and discus over his three prep seasons…Helped lead the Saints to a pair of Blossom Valley Athletic League track & field championships…Holds the school shot put record…Took top honors in the shot put with a personal record heave of 52-feet-11.5 at the 2019 BVAL Finals…Competed in both the shot put and discus at two CIF Central Coast Section Finals…Finished second in the shot put in the 2018 CCS Finals to qualify for the 2018 State Track & Field meet…Also lettered in football and wrestling.

Born October 16, 2001, in San Jose…Son of Nader and Lynn…Has two younger siblings, Sophie and Max…The person he most admires in the sports world is his high school shot put coach Ron McKee (“I knew him very well and saw how determined and driven he was to teach others. He also competed in the U.S. Olympic Trials and held a Highland Games record in the Stone Put for a period of time”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Honors Survey of Civilization, taught by Professor Zanja Yudell…Chose to attend Chico State “because I loved the campus and I thought the Honors Program had a lot of great benefits”…His greatest sports moment is posting a personal best in the shot put by three feet to place second in the Central Coast Section Championships and qualify for the State Track & Field meet…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is qualifying for the Track & Field Championships during his junior year in high school …Has learned to be persistent by competing in track & field…Enjoys playing video games, cooking, and baking when he has some free time…Says “my biggest talent outside of sports is playing the guitar”…At the top of his bucket list: “I want to visit Scotland, Ireland, and Australia”…Best advice ever received came from his high school wrestling coach: “Keep trying at what you love no matter what gets in the way”…Majoring in biology…Plans to go on to medical school.
