As a Junior - XC (2023)
- Ran in three meets
- Made debut in the 6K run at the Ash Creek Collegiate Invite, clocking in at 18:44.6
- Had a season-best time of 25:45.4 (8K) at the Cal State San Marcos Cougar Classic
As a Sophomore - T&F (2023)
- Appeared in five meets
- Ran in the 1,500m and once in the 3,000m steeplechase
- Finished sixth in the 3,000m steeplechase at the CCAA Championships in only appearance in the event (9:31.61)
- Ran a season-best time of 3:54.79 in the 1,500m at the Bryan Clay Invitational
As a Sophomore - XC (2022)
- A member of the CCAA Championship team
- Finished 20th at the CCAA Championships
- Ran a personal best time of 24:33.6 in the 8K at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational
2021–22
- Marked his Chico State cross country debut with a 20th place finish (8k time of 25:42.8) September 10, 2021 at the San Francisco State Invitational
- Placed 62nd (8k time of 26:04) September 25, 2021 at the Cougar Challenge
- Concluded the fall season with a 38th place showing at the Western Washington Bill Roe Classic, finishing with a 10k time of 33:20.2
- Opened up the 2022 track & field season with a 3k time 8:38 3k and a 23rd place showing at the Aggie Invitational
- Raced to a 800m PR time of 1:58.3 and a fourth place finish March 19, 2022 at the Wildcat Invitational
- Recorded a 14:51 5k PR, placing 53rd overall April 1 2022 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic
- The April 14–15, 2022 Bryan Clay invite brought solid performances in both the 5k (14:53.2) and 1,500m (3:57.4)
- Debuted in the 3,000m steeplechase April 23, 2022 at the Chico Invitational, placing second with a time of 9:43.2
- Ran the steeple again for the ’Cats, this time in the CCAA Track & Field Championships, where he earned all-conference honors with a third place finish and a time of 9:24.55
- Concluded the season with a personal best 1,500m time of 3:53.7 May 13, 2022 at the Azusa Pacific Last Chance meet.
2020–21
- Did not compete due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2019–20
- Redshirted the 2019 cross country season
- Did not see action during the abbreviated 2020 track & field season.
Pre-Chico Days
- Lettered in cross country and track at Whitney High School in Rocklin
- Helped lead the Wildcats to league and section championships in 2017
- All-Sierra Foothill League and All-Section selection
- Began senior cross country season placing 12th at the Roughrider Invitational in Clovis with a 5k PR time of 15:52
- Finished sixth at the Sac-Joaquin Championships, before placing 51st at State (16:03)
- On the track, recorded PR’s at all distances as a senior
- Earned a SFL title in the 3,200m
- Placed fourth at the Sac-Joaquin Section Championships with a 9:19 PR, just missing the final spot to compete in the State championships.
Personal
- Born October 18, 2000, in Davis
- Son of Michael and Laura
- Has one sibling, Caspian
- His dad is his hero (“He has always shown me how to keep my head up and keep pushing forward”)
- The person he most admires in the sports world is distance runner Evan Jager (“He has had many setbacks but is always coming back to try and show that he is still as good as he was before he was injured”)
- Favorite course at Chico State is Early Modern History, taught by Jerrad Benedict
- Chose to attend Chico State “because of the team environment and how the campus is so friendly to all types of people”
- His greatest sports moment is finishing third in the steeplechase at the 2022 CCAA Track & Field Championships, earning all-conference honors
- The most interesting thing he’s ever done is drive to Florida with a group of Chico State teammates to watch and root on the Wildcats at the NCAA Cross Country Championships
- The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is hang on the rim after a dunk
- Has learned by competing in distance running to “keep pushing forward”
- Enjoys relaxing and watching Netflix with his roommates when he has some free time
- His biggest talent outside of running: “I can juggle four different-sized balls
- Admits to having a “pretty big” shoe collection
- At the top of his bucket list: “Hike Half Dome with my dad”
- Best advice ever received came from his dad following the third place CCAA steeplechase finish: “Never settle”
- Majoring in history
- Plans to pursue a career as a historian.
