- Son of Peter and Marty
- Has one older sibling, Collin
- His hero is astronaut Neil Armstrong (“He inspired me to shoot for the stars because I might end up there someday”)
- The person he most admires in the sports world is Jackie Robinson (“He showed that if you put your head down and work, you can push through any adversity thrown at you”)
- Favorite course at Chico State is Physics for Students of Science and Engineering: Mechanics, taught by Yuhfen Lin
- Why he chose to attend Chico State: “I fell in love with the campus and the baseball program. It was also close enough to home that I could see my family”
- His greatest sports moment was a pitching a complete game on his high school Senior Night to help his team beat the number one school in the conference
- The most interesting thing he’s ever done: “I visited Drummond Castle in Scotland, which once belonged to my Scottish ancestors”…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is getting offers to play college baseball
- Has learned by playing baseball to “always dive headfirst into everything”
- Enjoys playing video games and “occasionally taking naps”
- His biggest talent outside of baseball: “I’m good at either making people laugh or annoying them really quickly”
- Admits to shattering his hamate bone while playing summer ball and deciding to play through it
- At the top of his bucket list: “Go skydiving”
- Best advice ever received came from an old travel ball coach: “You should be working your hardest when no one’s watching”
- Majoring in physics
- Plans to go into the engineering field after college.
