Biography

As a Sophomore (2024)
- One of three starting pitchers
- Made 12 appearances, 1 out of the bullpen for the CCAA Championships Opening Round
- Threw 55.1 innings with a 3.74 ERA
- Finished the season with a 5-4 record
- Struck out 43 and walked 8 batters
- Had thrown more than 7 innings in a game three times, the first against Montana State Billings (Feb. 8), the second against Cal State Dominguez Hills (March 29) and the third at Cal State San Bernardino (April 7)
- Recorded 8 strikeouts in season-opening win against Montana State Billings (Feb 8)
- Went 15 straight innings without allowing an earned-run in back-to-back starts against Cal State Dominguez Hills (March 29) and at Cal State San Bernardino (April 7)
- Threw first 14 innings of the season (in span of 3 games) without allowing a walk

As a Freshman (2023)
- One of three true freshman on the team
- Made 15 appearances, 2 of which was starts
- Threw a team second-most 51.2 innings with a 6.10 ERA
- Struck out a team second-most 37 batters
- Threw a season-most 6.2 innings against Fresno Pacific on February 11, all were shutout frames with four hits and three walks while striking out 9 batters

Pre-Chico Days
- A 2022 graduate of Colusa High School
- Played four varsity seasons, posting a career 26-1 record with a 0.32 earned run average and 255 strikeouts in 157 innings pitched
- Helped lead the RedHawks to a pair of Sacramento Valley League titles, the 2022 CIF Northern Section Division IV championship, and the State D-IV championship game
- Three-time All-SVL selection
- Named league MVP, All-Section, and First Team All-State in 2021 and 2022
- As a senior, set new school single-season records for wins (14), ERA (0.16), strikeouts (155) and innings pitched (85.1)
- Posted the most wins in the country for high school pitchers and ranked third nationwide in strikeouts in 2022, earning Northern Section MVP accolades
- Also lettered in basketball and cross country

- Son of Eric and Jenny
- Has three siblings: Annie, Addison, and Jax
- The person he most admires in the sports world is major league pitcher Johnny Cueto (“for playing at his own pace and disturbing hitter’s timing”)
- Favorite course at Chico State is MECH 200: Graphics II taught by Matt Mione
- Why he chose to attend Chico State: “Chico had the school and team environment I was looking for”
- His greatest sports moment is winning the 2022 Section championship at Colusa High School
- The most interesting thing he’s ever done is compete in the Future Business Leaders of America nationals in Chicago for “sales presentation”
- The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is ranking third all-time for consecutive innings (97.1) without giving up an earned run
- His best talent is eating
- Has learned by playing baseball “you’ll only get out of it what you are willing to put into it”
- Enjoys spending time with family and friends
- His biggest talent outside of baseball is his passion to learn
- Can play percussion instruments
- Enjoys playing Fortnite in his free time
