Biography

As a Senior (2023)
- Made 14 appearances on the mound
- Lone start was at San Francisco State on April 19
- Went 1-1 with a 3.06 ERA in 17.2 innings thrown
- Has throw a season-most 2.1 innings twice, the first against Cal State East Bay on April 1 and against Cal State LA on May 5

As a Junior (2022)
- Made one start and 17 relief appearances for the Wildcats in 2022
- Led the staff and ranked fifth in the CCAA with five saves
- Pitched 7.1 innings without allowing an earned run in his first four relief stints for the ’Cats
- Struck out four over three scoreless innings in his Chico State debut February 6, 2022 against Saint Martin’s

Pre-Chico Days
- Spent three years at Linn-Benton College in Albany, Oregon
- Started 21 games and posted a career 12-6 record
- Led the Northwest Athletic Conference with seven wins and ranked eighth in earned run average (2.30) in 2021, earning Second Team All-NWAC South honors
- Named First Team All-Conference after leading the Roadrunners to the 2019 NWAC South Region title
- A 2018 graduate of Wilsonville High School in Wilsonville, Oregon
- Received 5A Northwest Oregon League Honorable Mention in 2018
- Also lettered in football, helping twice lead the Wildcats to a State 6A runner-up finish

Personal
- Born April 24, 2000, in Sacramento
- Son of John and Shantel
- Has one older brother, Jared
- His hero is former major league hurler Jered Weaver (“He was a pitcher for the Angels and is one of the reasons why I wanted to play”)
- The person he most admires in the sports world is Shohei Ohtani (“He is a player who does what most pitchers in the MLB can’t, which is hitting”)
- Favorite course at Chico State is Physical Activity and Wellness: A Way of Life, taught by Carli Ross
- Why he chose to attend Chico State: “It’s a great academic school with agreat baseball program, and I’m a third generation Wildcat”
- His greatest sports moment is the dogpile after winning the West Coast League championship as a member of the Corvallis Knights, and being the named the collegiate summer baseball Team of the Year
- The most interesting thing he’s ever done is play a couple of games with a torn ACL
- The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is continuing to play despite having gone through two ACL injuries in high school and missing most of his varsity athletics (“After the second one, I wasn’t sure about being able to play baseball, and here I am”)
- Has built many life-long relationships by playing baseball
- Enjoys golfing, riding ATVs, and spending time with friends
- Says that playing the guitar is his biggest non-baseball talent
- Though he plays baseball righthanded, he does most things in life lefthanded
- At the top of his bucket list: “Playing a round of golf at Augusta”
- Best advice ever received: “Hard work creates opportunities”
- Majoring in criminal justice
- Plans to pursue a career in criminal justice/public safety.
