One of two freshmen on the Wildcats’ roster…Pre-Chico Days: A 2020 graduate of Livermore High School…Played three varsity seasons with the Cowboys…Hit .335 in his prep career…Twice earned All-East Bay Athletic League Honorable Mention…Also lettered in football…Personal: Born August 13, 2002, in Livermore…Son of Don and Kristine…Has one older sibling, Mason… The person he most admires in the sports world is Oakland A’s third baseman Matt Chapman (“I love how hard he plays the game of baseball and his extreme work ethic”)…Chose to attend Chico State “because of its history of winning as a baseball program and because of its phenomenal engineering program. I also love the scenery of the city of Chico!”…His greatest sports moment is beating rival Granada High School in a 14-inning game to finish his junior season…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is go to Florida for a baseball tournament when he was a high school junior…The most impressive thing he’s ever accomplished is earning a 5.0 GPA as a junior and a senior in high school…Has learned by playing baseball that “no matter how hard things get, you must always give your all and control what you can, even if it seems like it is pointless”…Enjoys surfing, riding dirt and mountain bikes, and off-roading in his 1998 Jeep Cherokee when he has some free time…Claims that outside of baseball, his greatest talent is playing guitar…Loves lifting weights…At the top of his bucket list: “To surf every major beach on the coast of California”…Best advice ever received came from his former travel ball coach Andrew Lonsdale: “Control what you can control in the game of baseball.
