Neal White begins his third season as assistant coach for the Chico State baseball team, having joined the program in Fall 2023 semester.

In two season as an assistant coach for the Wildcats, White has compiled a 56-46 record, including two CCAA Tournament appearances.

The 2025 season was full of challenges for the Wildcats, for they had the toughest schedule in the West Region. Chico State went on to finish 31-22 including a 7-2 non-conference schedule that featured the defending West Region champions and two conference champions. While coaching third base, White watched the Wildcats score 325 runs which ranked 11th best in the West Region while defensively Chico State had the second-best fielding percentage in the CCAA.

In White's first year at Chico State, the Wildcats went 25-24 while making an appearance in the CCAA Tournament. The Wildcats made drastic improvement between the 2023 and 2024 seasons, including batting average, slugging and runs scored.

White comes to Chico after spending the last seven seasons with the NAIA's University of Antelope Valley baseball program, serving as an assistant coach for three seasons before taking on the head coaching role for the following four years.Throughout his time with Antelope Valley, it captured the CalPac conference title for three consecutive appearances and made the NAIA Opening Round twice. As the assistant coach, White steered runners from the first base box while away from competition he worked with the hitters, outfielders and base running. As one of the UAV hitting instructors, the Pioneers ranked within the NAIA's top 25 in multiple offensive categories throughout his tenure, categories include batting average, doubles and triples.

An alumni of the UAV baseball program, White played a vital role in the Pioneers' winning the Cal-Pac Conference championship, having played in center field while taking on the leadoff role in the lineup. He was a first-team all-conference and an NAIA scholar-athlete.

White received earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and a Master's in Education, both from UAV.
