Mark Lindsay

Mark Lindsay, the newest addition to Dave Taylor’s staff, is a former CCAA standout who brings a wealth of coaching experience to the Wildcats in 2020.
 
Lindsay comes to Chico after serving as an assistant coach last season at Biola University in La Mirada, helping the Eagles post a 29-19 record and a fifth place finish in the Pacific West Conference. Lindsay spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons as a hitting coach and catching instructor at Pomona-Pitzer College, and began his college coaching career in 2016 as a volunteer assistant at the University of La Verne.
 
As a player, Lindsay starred at San Francisco State from 2012–15, where he earned All-CCAA honors for four consecutive years and was the first Gator to win the conference’s Freshman of the Year award. A two-time San Francisco State Male Athlete of the Year recipient, Lindsay left the program with a career .310 batting average and as the Gators’ all-time leader in hits (213), at-bats (688), and games played (192). He also ranks in the school’s career top 10 in walks and runs batted in.
 
Lindsay played professionally in 2018 with the San Rafael Pacifics of the independent Pacific Association.
 
Lindsay was a three-year prep standout at Bonita High School in La Verne, leading the Bearcats to three league titles.
 
Lindsay earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies at San Francisco State in 2016. He is currently working towards a master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia-Irvine.
