2020
Competed in one event at the March 6–7 Kim Duyst Invitational before the cancellation of the 2020 track & field season…Placed 17th in the 800m run with a time of 2:04.21…Earned 2019–20 CCAA All-Academic honors.
 
Pre-Chico Days
A 2019 graduate of Sage Creek High School in Carlsbad…Competed in the 100m, 200m, and 400m dash, the 800m run, and the 4x100m and 4x400m relay…Took top honors in the 400m dash and as part of the Bobcats’ 4x400m relay team at the 2019 Avocado East League Finals…Recorded a school-record time of 48.88 seconds in the 400m at the 2019 CIF San Diego Section Preliminaries….Finished first as part of Sage Creek’s 4x100m relay team at the 2017 Avocado West League Finals.
 
Personal
Born January 23, 2001, in Carlsbad…Son of Kevin and Joanne…Has one older brother, Christopher…The person he most admires in the sports world is Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson (“He is truly the GOAT in the sprinting world”)…Favorite course at Chico State is Small Group Communication, taught by Jessica Eggen…Chose to attend Chico State “for the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level in the sport I love”…His greatest sports moment is breaking 49 seconds in the 400m dash…The most interesting thing he’s ever done is fly to Europe…Has learned by competing in track & field that “the thing that matters most is making connections with others around you”…Enjoys watching movies and being around other people when he has some free time…Says “I can skip rocks really well”…Can play the drums…Loves going to the beach…At the top of his bucket list: “A trip to the Bahamas”…Best advice ever received came from his dad: “Never take yourself too seriously”…Majoring in exercise physiology…Plans a career as an athletic trainer or physical therapist.
