ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — Chico State Athletics continued its tradition of academic excellence with 42 student-athletes named to the 2025 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Fall Academic Honor Roll, the conference office announced.

The honor recognizes student-athletes who are of sophomore athletic standing or higher and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or better while competing in a CCAA-sponsored fall sport. A total of 464 student-athletes across the conference earned recognition this fall.

Chico State's 42 honorees ranked among the top totals in the CCAA, highlighting the department's continued commitment to success in the classroom across all programs.

"We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes for the discipline and dedication they show in the classroom," said Director of Athletics Eric Coleman. "Their ability to balance the demands of academics and competition at such a high level is a testament to their character and the support system around them."

The Wildcats were represented across all five fall sports—men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball—demonstrating broad-based academic achievement throughout the department.

Women's soccer and volleyball once again played a significant role in Chico State's total, combining for a large portion of the honorees, while both cross country programs continued their strong academic tradition with multiple selections. Men's soccer also contributed a well-balanced group of student-athletes, reflecting the program's depth both on the field and in the classroom.

Several Wildcats earned repeat recognition on the CCAA Academic Honor Roll, underscoring a sustained commitment to academic excellence throughout their collegiate careers.

Chico State's honorees represented a wide range of academic disciplines, including business administration, kinesiology, engineering, psychology, and criminal justice—illustrating the diverse academic pursuits of Wildcat student-athletes.

The CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll includes student-athletes from men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball.
