CHICO, Calif. – Fresh off its dramatic playoff victory at the 2026 CCAA Championship, the Chico State men's golf team continued to rack up accolades, earning multiple All-CCAA honors and sweeping several of the conference's top individual awards.
Naoki Easterday, Giuseppe Aliotti, Ty Weaver and Vineet Vallamsetty were all named to the 2026 All-CCAA Men's Golf Team, marking just the second time in program history that four Wildcats have earned all-conference recognition in the same season.
Head coach Nick Green, who has led the program since 2016, continues to build one of the top programs in NCAA Division II. The conference title marks his second CCAA championship at Chico State, and he was also named CCAA Coach of the Year for the third time in his career.
Highlighting the postseason honors, Naoki Easterday was named CCAA Player of the Year following a standout senior campaign. The Oregon native recorded two tournament wins and seven top-five finishes, along with nine rounds of even par or better. He currently ranks among the top golfers in the West Region and inside the top 50 nationally.
Vineet Vallamsetty earned CCAA Freshman of the Year honors, becoming the fifth Wildcat since 2002 to receive the award. In his debut season, Vallamsetty competed in all nine tournaments, earning two wins and delivering a season-opening 13-under performance at the Wildcat Invitational.
Giuseppe Aliotti secured his second All-CCAA selection after another strong season. The 2025 CCAA Newcomer of the Year finished third at this year's conference championship, rebounding from a slow start with final rounds of 69 (-3) and 72 (E).
Freshman Ty Weaver also earned All-CCAA recognition after establishing himself as a consistent contributor throughout the spring. He competed in all 21 rounds, recording three top-10 finishes and never placing outside the top 25 during the regular season.
Easterday now joins a distinguished list of Chico State golfers to earn CCAA Player of the Year honors, including Kelley Sullivan, Alistair Docherty, Lee Gearhart, Kyle Souza and J.J. Jakovac.
Chico State now turns its focus to the postseason, competing at the 2026 NCAA Division II South Central/West Super Regional at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton. The Wildcats will look to build on their conference championship success and secure a berth to the NCAA Division II National Championships in Boulder City, Nevada.
