MERCED, Calif. – Chico State used a dominant middle stretch to pick up an 83–73 CCAA road win over UC Merced on Saturday afternoon.
Chico State (16–6, 12–4 CCAA) turned a one-point deficit after the opening quarter into a comfortable halftime lead, then broke the game open with a 28-point third quarter. UC Merced (7–16, 4–12 CCAA) made a push late, but the Wildcats closed out the win to complete the season sweep.
