SEASIDE, Calif. – A promising first half and offensive prowess against the Otters was eventually met with three goals from the home side in the Chico State women's soccer squads final pre-conference matchup. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 2-3-2 overall (0-0-0 CCAA), while the Otters improve to 2-3-2 (0-0-0 CCAA).

How it happened
After a scoreless first half in which Chico State outshot Monterey Bay 10–6, the Otters capitalized early in the second half. Tiger Rendon opened the scoring in the 47th minute, finishing a setup from Bailey Rozier.
Ella Schug doubled the lead in the 59th minute, and Jaedyn Sanders put the game out of reach with a goal in the 67th off an assist from Kamryn Bubak.
The Wildcats generated 19 total shots, including 10 on goal, but couldn't find a way past Otters goalkeeper Olivia Wynn, who made 10 saves to preserve the clean sheet.
