How it happened
After several near misses early, the Wildcats broke through in the 31st minute when defender Madison Schuler set up Taylor McMahon, who tucked her shot inside the left post for her third goal of the season.
Goalkeeper Kennedy Briseno and the Chico State back line made the lead stand, with Briseno stopping all three shots she faced to record the shutout—her first of the season.
Dominguez Hills struggled to find rhythm offensively, managing just one shot in the second half as the Wildcats defense held firm through a series of Toro substitutions and late pressure.
