CHICO, Calif. – Chico State scored once in the first half and added three more after the break to blank Jessup, 4–0, on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025 at University Soccer Stadium. With the victory, the Wildcats improved to 2-2-2 overall (0-0-0 CCAA), while the Warriors dropped to 1-3-0 (0-0-0 GSAC) .

How it happened

Chico State grabbed the lead in the 23rd minute when Makayla Quesada scored off a setup from Taylor McMahon and Hannah Pieri, blasting her strike into the near post stunning the Warriors keeper.

The Wildcats extended their advantage early in the second half as McMahon made it 2–0 in the 60th minute with help from Klayre Barres, striking a shot to the left post within the 18-yard box.

Less than two minutes later, Yulisa Reyes found the net to push the lead to 3–0 after pressuring the Warriors keeper and forcing a turnover in front of their goal.

Jiana Martin capped the scoring with a left-footed strike in the 63rd minute off a feed from Justyce Amey as Chico State secured the 4–0 win .
